Random Reflections
Dec. 31st, 2007 11:50 am'Tis the end of the year so I thought I ought to post something . The next few weeks look like being heavy on the work front, but after that I hope I'll be able to get back into the swing of things. And after I get my computer a much-needed upgrade, of course.
Nathan Petrelli has the most gorgeous eyelashes. And yes, he does use Harmonious Hairspray.
Thank you so much, Mr. Cameron, for suggesting I teach my class of Year 1s to read. In all my years of teaching, such a radical idea had never before occured to me.
My Three Kings display this year was meant to feature the three august personages bearing a slightish resemblance to the TG3. This cunning plan was successfully scuppered by a helpful little girl who gave 'King Jeremy' the most gorgeous pouting red lips and amazingly long curly eyelashes (eat your heart out, Nathan Petrelli!). And then she bedecked his kingly gown with oodles of pink glitter. He looked ever so glamorous. 'Queen Jeremy' anyone?
No love to the parcel delivery service who kept a.) leaving parcels that weren't mine on the doorstep and b.) taking my parcels back to the depot without leaving me a parcel order number so I could track them. I never thought I'd say it, but I prefer Royal Mail...
And finally... I have a kittie. I wasn't going to get a kittie, but this kittie was in danger of being an ex-kittie. I have named him Harry, after Harry Saxon, because a.) he's cute, b.) he's a bit wicked (likes to purr as he bites you), c.) he's smart and d.) he's very cute. Here he is:

It took him all of five minutes to learn how to use a catflap (once he'd had all his injections and could go outside) and already he has graduated from bringing me gifts of dead leaves to gifts of dead mousies. Yup, I named him well.
